Planning a wedding takes a lot of time and energy. And as with any other job, you’re going to feel disheartened from time to time. You’re going to feel like things aren’t going the way you want them to go. You’re going to want to give up. You may even think about eloping! But you’ve already put so much time and effort into organizing the perfect wedding that it doesn’t make sense to abandon everything at the last moment. Here are some tips to help you keep going:
- Have Fun: Don’t get so wrapped up in organizing the wedding that you forget to have fun. Take some time out just like you would at work. If you’re feeling stressed, settle down with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate. Or you can go for a walk, call up a friend, watch a movie or play a video game—whatever floats your boat.
- Visualize: Have you ever tried visualizing something that you want? There are some people who stand by this process and claim that it has given them everything they ever wanted. So just take some time to imagine what your perfect wedding would look like. Do this once every day. Or else, pin some pictures of weddings that you love on a “vision board” which you hang in a place that you see every day. And then just watch it all come together.
- Let Go: Sometimes, what’s holding you back is not simply the fact that things aren’t going the way that you want. It’s the fact that you’re all anxious inside. All that worry isn’t doing anyone any good. So relax. Do some yoga. Meditate. Take a shower. Go for a walk. You never know. The answer might just pop into your head.
