Are you one of those brides who likes things to be casual, flirty and fun? Would you rather die than have a conventional wedding with a ball gown and a chandelier? The answer is to have a beach wedding at a location where you can have an indoor area as well, in case the weather turns bad. Here are some tips to organize a beach wedding:
- Keep it Casual: You can’t decide to have a beach wedding and then opt for a satin ball gown as well. You need to keep things casual in terms of the wedding gown, the bridesmaid’s dresses, the men’s clothing etc. Go for a flowing chiffon dress or a satin slip dress; it can be short or long, depending on what you prefer. But it needs to be comfortable. The same goes for the bridesmaid’s dresses. And don’t forget to tell your guests that this is a beach wedding so that they don’t show up in floor-length gowns and black tie.
- Have an Indoor Area: You can either set up a tent under which people can take shelter in case of rain or have your beach wedding at a location which also has an indoor space so that you can move the party there in case of bad weather. Or you could choose to have the ceremony on the beach and then move indoors for dinner and dancing. There are many options. So it’s totally up to you to do what you prefer.
- Decorations: There’s no point starting a beach wedding in the evening when the sun has already set. You want to take advantage of the sunlight and the beach during the daytime. Here, nature is your main decoration and there’s not much else you need to do in order to make sure the wedding is a beautiful one. Don’t forget to set up an altar with an arch and flowers. And make sure that it’s facing the sea so that you get good photographs.
